Your ring can be a simple band made from ‘D’ shape, ‘square’ or ‘rectangular’ wire, lathe-turned comfort fit or hand-forged for a ‘one-off’ or ‘forged’ look.

The material your wedding band is made from is dictated by your engagement ring; two different finenesses of gold together will cause the softer ring to wear out quicker than the harder.
