Our hand-made sgian dubhs will complete your full Highland Dress. Our aim is to make an item of beauty but also draws on its cultural roots; our sgian dubhs would not look out of place in the 18th century!

Much like the Highlander, proud of his Italian-made Antonio Ferrari broadsword, or boastfully displaying the mark of the running wolf denoting its Bavarian birthplace in Passau, it is heartbreaking for us to see the piles of mass-produced sgian dubhs made in south-east Asia.

Handles

Our sgian dubhs are hand-carved using only traditional knife-carving techniques, made from Scottish hard wood:

• Walnut

We also make commissioned handles using your own choice of wood.
